July Sunset at Race Point Beach – SLIDESHOW

Race Point July sunset
Written by Brian Tarcy

PROVINCETOWN – Every year, whenever possible, we try to make it a point to see a July sunset at Race Point Beach.

So earlier this week on a perfect summer day, we made it to the beach at the tip of the Cape and started walking onto the beach just as the sun was falling.

The timing was perfect.

I thought at first that the clouds were going to offer an even more spectacular show but I had to settle for perfect weather and a calm flat ocean, with a few long pink stripes across the sky.

It worked for me. Check it out.

Cape Cod Wave Magazine covers the character & culture of Cape Cod. Please see our Longform stories. These stories are 2,000 to 10,000 word deep dives – profiles of important and interesting Cape Codders as well as examinations of important Cape issues such as housing and the environment. While most of Cape Cod Wave is free, these stories are behind a paywall ($3 to read one story, $5 a month to access all stories, or $50 for a year’s access) This is the only way we make money.
