BOURNE – The sky and clouds were very cooperative in creating a nice sunset Monday night on the Cape Cod Canal
I had the bike path essentially to myself as I walked along the canal with a view of the Bourne Bridge all the way to the Railroad Bridge.
The sky did not light up quite as much as I hoped but it was still, as all Cape Cod sunsets are, a moment when I was grateful for living here.
And then just as the show was about to end, a Coast Guard boat came through the canal, apparently as the grand finale.
The one thought that kept occurring to me later was that whoever is designing the new bridges, whenever those are built, should be required to spend some time just watching the sunsets along the canal and then take the view into account in the new design.
