WELLFLEET – Time flies when you are listening your way though town, porch by porch. So we’d like to get our apology out of the way first. We didn’t get to the last few musicians on the Wellfleet Porchfest walking tour.
The entire show, with 18 bands scheduled for 18 porches, only went for two hours.
It seems only 17 bands showed up, and we unfortunately wasted about 15 minutes trying to figure out why we couldn’t read a map and find the missing musician. By the time we realized that the map was right and one musician didn’t show up, it was too late to make our way all the way to the end in time.
On the other hand, what we did see was awesome – acoustic music on the porches and lawns of Wellfleet in late August. Summertime really doesn’t get much sweeter than that.
So here, in about 7 minutes, is a tour through most of Porchfest. Enjoy. We sure did.
