EASTHAM – Granted that by the time the sun set my brain had frozen, but it sure appeared that out on the horizon off of Sunken Meadow Beach there was a city with a bridge, and some buildings and a pretty good power grid.
Did I mention that my brain had frozen? I can’t remember.
So while most sunsets on the Cape routinely rate as spectacular, sometimes the atmosphere, the setting sun and the long horizon can create something like this mirage of cloud construction.
It was a mirage, right?
