WELLFLEET – A couple of hours at Marconi Beach in early July makes a compelling argument that life on Cape Cod is about as good as life can get.
Marconi Beach, part of the Cape Cod National Seashore, had quite a number of people on it for an early weekday and many were in the water. Some caught waves. Some swam. Some waded. Just beyond them, a seal or two would peek up its head. It was a perfect summer day.
Down the beach where there were less people, we noticed a large group of seals hanging out in their own set of waves.
It didn’t take long to get past the crowd and find our own stretch of beach. Paradise found.
