Frozen Buzzards Bay At Chapoquoit Beach, Falmouth – Slide Show

Frozen Chapoquoit Beach
Written by Brian Tarcy

WEST FALMOUTH – The artistry of winter on Cape Cod is amazing, and there are not a lot of things more interesting than seeing the shore of Buzzards Bay nearly frozen over while walking Chapoquoit Beach.

The frozen tundra was amazing to look at but a bit challenging to walk on. I stayed on the beach, not trusting the frozen bay.

But it looked like you could walk out quite a ways, except for the few spots near the shore where there was melting down to the sand.

But the view in all directions was amazing. Later, when a friend walked it, he told me he was looking for polar bears. They were probably there.
