FALMOUTH – It should be no surprise that the Colonial Garden at the Falmouth Historical Society/Museums on the Green is a delight. It is maintained by members of the Falmouth Garden Club. This is a group that knows what it is doing when it comes to making a beautiful flower garden.
This time of year, the flower garden is particularly splendid.
You walk through the garden gate past bountiful white hydrangeas and yellow lillies. Paths take you past numerous flower beds on the way to a charming gazebo.
Colonial-style gardens are characterized by their symmetrical layout, traditional plants and paths. This garden is no exception. It is a wonderful stroll any time of day or time of year. But in the summer, the morning light flows into the garden and illuminates the colorful blooms. Magical.
