BOURNE – The bike path along the Cape Cod Canal is a jewel. Riding it is a great way to see it but walking it gives one a slow close up view of everything. And it’s worth seeing.
We recently walked the path from the Bourne Bridge to the Railroad Bridge, and then back again, checking out the fishermen, the birds, and the general scene along the way.
We realized that even this very permanent view is actually fleeting, as the state is planning to replace the Bourne Bridge (and the Sagamore Bridge)…er, sometime. They just need a little bit of money.
Until then, this is the view on the Canal and it’s pretty nice.
