WOODS HOLE – Cape Cod in the summertime is magical in so many ways, and one of those is how often you can find live music played outside and free for anyone to listen.
For instance, we recently took a bike ride to Woods Hole to go for a swim when we found ourselves stopping outside Quick’s Hole Taqueria to check out this fantastic blues band, BlueSwitch of Martha’s Vineyard, that we had never even heard of before.
We parked our bikes and watched for a bit as the band played a few songs, including this cover of “Mellow Down Easy” by Little Walter.
The band consists of Jim Carnazza, singing and playing harp; Larry Lusignan on guitar, Steve Careiro on drums; and Delanie Pickering, the great guitar player from Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish, was playing stand-up bass. As you can see, they put on quite a show.
