BL & The Small Motors: “On The Fire” – Music VIDEO

FALMOUTH – When we started Cape Cod Wave Magazine in 2013 and decided one of our focuses would be local music, one of the first bands I was told about was the Brothers Rye, who were fronted by Benjamin Lee Patterson.

Patterson, when he was with Brothers Rye wrote my favorite song about Cape Cod in the winter, “Start It Up Again” with the great 0pening lyric, “From where I stand I can see the whole town drinking deep like the breath you take before you go to sleep.”

And now Patterson is back with a new band, BL & The Small Motors. The band features Patterson on guitar and vocals, Jordan Mora on violin and vocals, Matt Lyles on drums, Stu Gardener on lap steel and vocals, and Chris Harris on bass.

Here is another great song about getting through winter called, “On The Fire,” which will be on a new album, expected to be released by the end of the year, said Patterson.
