TRURO – There is a lot to absorb with the changing world these days. Thankfully, here on Cape Cod there are places like the East Summit of Bearberry Hill to simply sit and contemplate it all.
The East Summit of Bearberry Hill offers one of the most spectacular views from anywhere on the peninsula.
To get there, walk into the Pamet Area Trails in the Cape Cod National Seashore and then follow the signs. There is a view of an old cranberry bog and you can also walk to the old bog house.
But the view from the East Summit is breathtaking. Looking down over Ballston Beach from such an elevation gives a long view to and over the Atlantic Ocean. With the weather getting warmer, it was a treat to have the viewing platform to myself.
