MASHPEE – Almost a mile into the woods we ran into this isolated polka dot shed, reminding us that Cape Cod’s nooks and crannies are better than the highlights most places offer. Sometimes exploring takes a bit of a hike, but it’s always worth it.
We found this empty path that seemed to go a good mile through the woods of Mashpee, past a polka dot shed, to Pickerel Cove at Wakeby Pond, just before it merges into Mashpee Pond.
The trees grew over the water – literally.
