FALMOUTH – With a spattering of snow and cold enough conditions for the windblown sea to craft spectacular ice creations, the Knob is a natural work of art.
And when you take the time to see it from all the angles available without a boat, it is even more impressive.
Rather than take the normal trek through the woods that always leads to that moment of pure joy when you first see the bay on both sides, we wandered the beach past Quissett Harbor and along the rocky edge of the peninsula that juts out into Buzzards Bay.
And then went back down the other side.
