Head of The Meadow Beach – Fire, Sand, Moon & Sea

Head of the Meadow Beach
Written by Brian Tarcy

TRURO –  A big moon hovering over any landscape is pretty nice. A big moon hovering over the Atlantic Ocean just after sunset while beachgoers at Head of the Meadow Beach sit around campfires – well, that just takes it to another level.

Cape Cod in the summer is so spectacular.

When we first saw the moon, we had a feeling that the ocean might offer a nice backdrop. But it was the humans with their fires that made it complete.

We’ve said it before. We’ll say it again. Ah, summer…

  • I love having a fire on the beach in the moonlight;-) usually one has to find the local police station to get a permit to have the beach fire. Those local police stations can be hard to find, but one sees a lot of great scenery along twisty shoreline roads;-) I saw august shooting stars lying on a cape beach once. best ‘fireworks’ ever!
