Day After Blizzard, Falmouth — Slideshow

Written by Laura M. Reckford

FALMOUTH – We weren’t fooled by the crystalline blue sky; the glistening icicles hanging off the roof; the smooth swirls of white snow everywhere.

We knew this day was going to be a tough one. It was the day after the Blizzard of 2022 and there was shoveling to do.

We walked around Falmouth center and saw a lot people shoveling but more people with snow blowers. There were even two dueling snow blowers–or were they working together? We saw a few plows drive by but there was much work to be done.

We saw cross-country ski tracks on the path beside Shivericks Pond. Birds circled overhead. And, oddly, so did what looked like a Coast Guard helicopter.

We hear that tomorrow is a Snow Day. We know the kids will appreciate it.

  • We had machinery come by the house yesterday to clear our neighborhood.
Thank goodness, we were getting tired of shoveling & scraping our cars off.
