FALMOUTH – We had stopped at the Great Sippewissett Marsh, our favorite spot on the Shining Sea Bikeway, just to take in the sweeping views when we were suddenly caught up in the dramatic life of one particular Falmouth foodie, this egret.
It wasn’t just the egret, as you will see. His shadow perfectly mimicked his every move as his neck took on all sorts of shapes, and, seemingly, lengths.
And as you will see, this particular egret is a very good fisherman, both patient and lightening quick.
Just like his shadow.
