WOODS HOLE – On the most perfect mid-July afternoon, our Cape Cod-based religion again took us to the most specific vision of paradise that we know – a summer day viewed from a small boat off of Woods Hole.
Nothing like this appears in the marketing brochures of other heavens from other religions.
We chased invisible fish through the Elizabeth Islands and then stopped at the greatest little summer spot on Earth, Devils Foot Island, where the party seems to have continued for decades.
Finally, we found our way through the neighborhood of houseboats and then back into Eel Pond.
Amen.
