EASTHAM – It was a magical evening at Thumpertown Beach last night as the sun set over the rippled flats of Eastham while just after it set the near-full moon rose right behind me.
All sunsets on the Cape are spectacular but there is something special about seeing it set into these lines of sand and water that stretch way into Cape Cod Bay.
And then as I was shooting my last panorama of the sunset, I heard behind me the word, “Wow.” And there is it was, rising over the trees, the nearly full moon, glowing gold.
So that’s just, you know, a night in November on Cape Cod.
