DENNIS – We have seen the magic of a band connecting with an audience before, but rarely like we witnessed Saturday night from the Rip-It-Ups, a band that lives up to its name. Playing a catchy original song called, “Talk Is Cheap,” the band’s energy began at a high level and then rose from there. With Liam Hogg on drums and Ron Siegel on bass driving the song, the Rip-It-Ups essentially took over the Harvest Gallery Wine Bar as the dueling horns of Jodi Birchall on trombone and Paul Lesniak on saxophone, followed the blistering guitar or Gary Locke, the writer of this fun song. But it was Birchall, the charismatic lead singer of the band, who truly brought the fun and essentially took the entire audience along with her for the ride while she switched between singing and playing trombone.
