A Slow Sunset Show At Woodneck Beach – Slideshow

Woodneck Sunset
Written by Brian Tarcy

FALMOUTH – Some sunsets develop right from the start, showing spectacular colors as soon as the sun starts its descent. This sunset at Woodneck Beach was not one of those.

We wandered around a bit. We found the moon rising, a family walking home from a day lounging in the Great Sippewissett Marsh behind Woodneck Beach, and even some lost water shoes looking for their owners.

And then in the stripe between the clouds first formed what looked to us to be a city on a hill. There was, in fact, a canvas for the sun to work with and it turned out pretty nice.
