Lighting of Falmouth Village Green, 2018 — VIDEO

FALMOUTH – The Lighting of the Falmouth Village Green is an annual tradition that never gets old. Thousands of families participate in the Stroll on Main Street, which culminates in a group countdown on the historic green, a burst of lights and a short concert of carols played by the town’s brass band.

Nevermind the cold. Children play tag around tall bushes topped by Santa on his sleigh and the smallest children peer with wonder into colorful boxes each depicting a seasonal diorama.

Nostalgia? Americana? There is no bah humbug in sight here. Just pure holiday joy.
