BREWSTER – Get to the beach early enough on Cape Cod and you have the place mainly to yourself.
On a recent morning at Breakwater Beach in Brewster, it was just a forgotten flipflop showing the way; colorful kayaks lined up in row; and a lone standup paddle boarder drawing a straight line along the coast.
A few squawks from seagulls, beach grass rippling in the breeze and a cloudless blue sky.
That’s about it. That’s just enough.
